Back and Forth:Thursday12.27.2007
12/27/2007 - 12/30/2007I've been traveling with my family for the last week: to
D.C., Virginia, back home for New Year's Eve, then
back to Virginia.
_Dinner with the Webers_
Mrs. Weber made a fantastic dinner. The yams and
potatoes deserve special commendations.
Ryan's getting into this ridiculous 5x5x5 Rubik's
Cube. The concept of nonstandard Rubik's Cubes
makes me wonder if anyone has made a Rubik's
Rectangular Prism, and how that would even work.
What about a Rubik's Sphere? What about a Sphere
with nonfixed r?Watching Band of Brothers on projection; can't do it no other way.
Those are my new November Rain Dunk Mids.

On Friday, we went from Delaware to Glen Burnie, Maryland.
On Saturday, we buried my great-uncle Fong, my
grandmother's youngest brother.
He was the youngest member of his generation in my family,
in his 60's, barely less than a decade older than my dad.
After the funeral, and lunch at Uncle Fong's church,
the family returned to my grandmother's apartment
complex for dinner and family time.
View from the roof, where we were.
Tori, my sister.
Sarah, my cousin. We talk on AIM now.
Sarah; her brother Ryan; Tori.

Amy, Uncle Fong's oldest daughter.
Dad and Tori.
The oldest living generation of my family, sans one aunt still living in
Thailand.
My dad's generation.
The next generation.
The girls and Aunt Mary: Uncle Fong's family. Amy, Aunt Mary,
Jenny, and April.
Aunt Mary, the girls, and their significant others.

Thanks to Carol, for the first time in a few years, I got
to see Heewoo; it was his last night on this side of the
Atlantic, too. He's currently a pastor at All Souls in
London.
Carol picked me up and we headed to northern VA's
K-town. Heewoo sneakily bought us dinner, then we
went to a Korean coffeeshop.
I love these two; and also the look on Carol's face.
I think Heewoo had just winked at her.
